According to XXL, Lil Baby teased a snippet to a new track recently and is reported to have mentioned currently imprisoned rapper, YNW Melly. Herein, the Atlanta-rapper mentions the following bar: "Got murder on my mind like my n*gga Melly." The bar refers to the song "Murder On My Mind" which acquired YNW Melly instant fame through its positioning on the charts. Baby's shout out comes right after Future wished YNW Melly a happy birthday via his Instagram story and advocated for the charged rapper's freedom. Moreover, many other celebrities have joined in on the "Free Melly" movement such as Yung Bans and Lil Skies.
The latest news surrounding YNW Melly remain dispiriting, we recently reported that the Florida rapper was facing the death penalty in the first-degree murder case of his friends. The musician was arrested based on suspicions that he murdered YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser during the fall of last year along with staging it all as a drive-by. Rumors stated the rapper was allegedly driving around with the deceased in his car prior to bringing them to the hospital. YNW Melly entered a not-guilty plea in court this past March and continues to affirm the legal system is setting him up.
