Post Malone, Cardi B, and Drake lead with the most nominations.

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards are officially underway. Some of the biggest acts in music have all come together at the GM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight for the award show where Kelly Clarkson is holding down hosting duties.

With last year being a huge year for hip-hop, it comes as no surprise that some of the genre's leading acts are racking up the nominations. Cardi B is in the lead with 21 nominations including Top Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, and more. Drake and Post Malone follow with 17 apiece while XXXTENTACION and Ariana Grande round out the top five with 10 and 9 nominations, respectively.

Taylor Swift kicked the show off with a performance of her new single while Khalid, Ariana Grande, Halsey, and more set to take the stage.
