2 Chainz and Keith Lee recently got into a viral argument on the Den of Kings program over food reviewing, restaurant service, and more. They have since cleared the air and settled their issues, but that didn't stop Freddie Gibbs from stepping in online and joking about the disagreements.
In a clip caught by The Jasmine Brand on Instagram, he talked about recently being with Chainz and let off a mini-rant on Lee. However, the Indiana rapper quickly clarified he was just joking, as he doesn't actually have any problems with Keith.
"I don't give a f**k," he expressed. "I was with my n***a 2 Chainz last night, I said, 'Hey, F**k Keith Lee.' We don't give a f**k about no taste test. B***h. Shoutout my n***a 2 Chainz. N***a album about to come out. Shoutout to Keith Lee, too. We f**k with you, we f**k with everybody. We was just joking."
Freddie Gibbs' media presence isn't just trolling, though. He appeared on national television to speak of the plight of his hometown of Gary, Indiana as they faced a power crisis.
2 Chainz's Apology To Keith Lee
As for 2 Chainz and Keith Lee's altercation, the situation was seemingly based on a misunderstanding. For those unaware, Keith Lee is a popular food reviewer, and Chainz asked him about negative reviews of the rapper's restaurant. Lee said he hasn't reviewed it, but they still argued over service, special treatment of celebrities, Lee's credentials for reviewing food, and more.
Since then, though, 2 Chainz has apologized to Keith Lee. "I got a chance to speak to Keith after the podcast and it was all love," he wrote on Twitter. "I know my words offended some people and I apologize for that. What I said and what I meant were two different things. I could’ve done a better job getting my point across."
While some fans continue to debate over these topics, Freddie Gibbs is among those who isn't taking it too seriously. But he made it clear he's just joking and doesn't actually have any negative things to say about the food reviewer. Some folks don't understand how this became such a big debate, but classism and celebrity culture are always important to consider.
