Kanye West has a long history of praising, berating, and connecting with some of the world's most influential and controversial political and business figures. Elon Musk is among the best examples of this, as they've had their fair share of issues in the past. Still, it seems like things are all good now, as indicated by the tech tycoon's reaction to an old Ye clip.
In the footage shared on Twitter, the Chicago superstar is talking to folks about controversies Musk has faced before. "Elon Musk, I don't give a f**k who's over [at] his house. Leave that man the f**k alone," he remarked. "Leave that man the f**k alone. And the thing is, they love to do this. They love to talk s**t. 'Ha, Elon's having a bad week.' If Elon has a bad week, we have a bad life. Leave that man the f**k alone."
It's unclear what the context for this clip is, but Elon reacted to it with appreciation and a remark about Kanye's provocative nature. "Kanye has a good heart and is a world champion troll. (Hall of famer)," he wrote on Twitter earlier today (Sunday, November 1). The Yeezy mogul even reposted the tweet, showing they are not as rocky as they once were.
A lot of that tension stems back to Elon Musk's criticism of Kanye West's antisemitic remarks. As of late, though, Ye's appreciation towards (and praise of) Musk didn't seem to waver in the wake of that disagreement and online scuffle.
Kanye West's Concert
In fact, Kanye West wants Elon Musk to align with him when it comes to their political endorsements and views. Ye pleaded last year for Elon and United States President Donald Trump to stop fighting over Trump's proposed spending bill.
Elsewhere, Kanye West just rocked a Houston stadium with one of the biggest concerts of his career, and in hip-hop history. As caught by Kurrco on Twitter, he received a Global Icon Award from Texas state representative Ron Reynolds following the performance.
It seems like a lot of folks are changing their tune on Ye these days, for better or for worse. We'll see if he does anything in the future to make them regret that, as has happened before.
