It took Ye only seven months to set a new record for the highest attendance at a hip-hop concert in the United States with his Houston show.

Kanye West has been on a massive stadium show run this year, which continues to set new records. With Ye's Houston concert at Reliant Stadium last night (Saturday, October 31), he now boasts the highest attendance at a hip-hop show in the United States. 80,210 fans were in the crowd, per Hip Hop All Day on Twitter.

This surpasses Ye's previous record with his SoFi Stadium run in April, which saw him sell over 74,000 tickets on each of its two nights. The Chicago superstar also holds records and big milestones for the highest-grossing hip-hop shows in the U.S., and they've gotten praise for other reasons as well.

One of these is the cavalcade of special guests that have come out for these performances, a trend Kanye West continued in Houston. In addition to North West and André Troutman, Ye also brought out Playboi Carti to perform some collabs and solo songs.

The Yeezy mogul also thanked fans for breaking this record. "We just broke the record. Biggest [rap] concert in U.S. history. Thank you, H-Town," he remarked onstage as he performed "Ghost Town," as caught by augeralt on Instagram. "Thank y'all for sticking by me all these years."

Kanye West's Biggest Concert

What's more is that this isn't even Kanye West's biggest concert of his career. Back in May of 2026, Ye performed for 118,000 fans in Istanbul, Turkey. It's the largest solo rap performance in the world, and the second-largest (if not the largest) ticketed concert of all time.

Other folks at Kanye West's Houston show last night included none other than Drake and Travis Scott, who were in the crowd. Travis has been back in Ye's good graces for a while following flare-ups in 2025, whereas Drizzy's dynamic with Kanye is still pretty unclear. It seems like old wounds from the 2024 rap battle continue to heal.

Of course, plenty of people continue to criticize Ye for these shows, mainly due to his previous antisemitic remarks and other bigotries. Despite this backlash plaguing discourse around him, whether you agree or disagree, the tour continues to be a success. Kanye West's next shows will be in Dallas on November 7 and Phoenix on November 21, which should also be massive performances.
