Drake kept his 40th birthday celebrations going on Saturday night, and his outfit was just as bold as the party. The rapper stepped out in New York City wearing a Chrome Hearts leopard-print jacket, red leather pants, and a white shirt.
Overall, it was a mix of loud pieces that worked well together. The jacket has a cheetah-style fur finish, and it is decorated with red cross patches on the chest and sleeve, which are a Chrome Hearts trademark.
The red leather pants matched the patches, and the white shirt kept the look from getting too busy. Drake wore dark brown boots and gold jewelry to finish it.
The outfit came after a very different look. On Friday, he wore a black-tie look at Casa Cipriani and was later seen in a vintage 1990s Hermès fringed shawl.
Saturday’s party was held at Delilah. Travis Scott, Jack Harlow, Alix Earle, Adam22, and Landon Barker were among the guests.
Drake also performed with Popcaan, and he thanked Bow Wow for performing at the party. He told the crowd that the night was not about a tour or an album, but about “being alive, staying alive.”
Drake Chrome Hearts
Drake has been seen in Chrome Hearts before, and the brand fits his style. The luxury label is known for silver jewelry, leather pieces, and its cross patch designs.
Its first boutique opened in Manhattan in 1996, so the New York party was a fitting place to wear it.
Leopard print and red leather is a big combination, but Drake kept the contrast under control with a simple white shirt in the middle.
The weekend also had a few surprise moments. A gray parrot appeared on Drake’s arm in one video from Saturday night, which fans compared to Captain Jack Sparrow.
We covered Drake’s 40th birthday earlier, and the celebrations clearly kept going through the weekend. Overall, Drake turned 40 with a birthday week full of standout fits. It is hard to imagine a bigger way to mark the milestone.
