Rick Ross is always active on social media, and the later years of his career have seen him be similarly prolific when it comes to music. He just dropped a new freestyle over Belly Gang Kushington and 21 Savage's "WTF GOIN" track, which comes after the release of his new album Set In Stone and the controversy provoked by abuse allegations against him.
As for the lyrical content, though, the freestyle shared on Twitter doesn't really address any of this directly. There may be a reference to Ross' denial of domestic violence allegations in the fourth bar, but it's hard to call. Rather, the freestyle is more of the smack-talking, luxurious, boisterous, and confident material fans have come to expect from him.
Maybe this means we're getting even more new Rozay music soon. But no such announcement has emerged, so maybe this is just to boost Set In Stone and take some attention away from more serious matters.
Either way, the "WTF GOIN" freestyle doesn't leave fans with much to chew on. Still, at least he's staying active and persistent, which is more than what numerous artists of his veteran status have done as of late.
Rick Ross Freestyle
We'll see if this freestyle previews new moves from Ross or is just a random loosie. He has much more to answer to in the meantime, until that case finds a resolution.
Rick Ross denied abuse allegations against him following claims from his former girlfriend Jazzma Kendrick. Authorities recently arrested him on battery charges, but it's not explicitly clear if Kendrick is the one behind that situation.
She accused the Maybach Music Group mogul of assaulting her after suspecting she was talking to another man. Ross denied the criminal charges against him and doesn't seem to have specifically responded to Jazzma Kendrick amid all this.
Elsewhere, he continues to engage in beef with various other MCs, media figures, and others online, whether it's 50 Cent or The Game. It's probably part of why Rick Ross wants to keep his pen hot. But the noise around his name doesn't go away after one freestyle, as good as it could be for many fans.
