Rick Ross was arrested earlier this week in Miami on battery charges tied to alleged domestic violence, but it didn't take long for him to go back on vacation. Via Instagram, he posted pictures of his travels in Dubai and Paris, which led to many responses referencing his denial of the allegations against him following his release from prison on bond.
"First and foremost, I need silence," Ross had expressed to reporters. "I am totally innocent of these fabricated allegations made against me. I'll be in Dubai tomorrow, Paris Saturday, and I plan on having a bowl of rigatoni with heavy marinara Sunday. I repeat: rigatoni, heavy marinara. Thank you all for your time. Enjoy your day."
He certainly wasn't lying about his travels. We will see if the Maybach Music Group mogul has anything else to share publicly as this battery case continues to develop.
That seems improbable, though, as Rick Ross will not attend pre-trial hearings tied to the misdemeanor battery and felony battery by strangulation charges. He waived his right to do so, and his legal team will represent him in his stead. As such, it's unlikely we will get any more public statements about the matter until the case wraps up. Still, that doesn't rule out the chances of more social media references, statements, or other forms of responses and remarks.
Rick Ross Out Of Jail
For those unaware, Rick Ross left jail on either a $5K or $6K bond after his arrest on Thursday (October 1). He pleaded not guilty to the allegations against him, which follow domestic abuse allegations from his ex, Jazzma Kendrick.
Kendrick had posted a picture of her injured lip on Instagram and accused Rozay of being responsible. She later thanked folks for their support, and this preceded the arrest on battery charges.
However, authorities haven't explicitly confirmed Kendrick is the alleged victim in this case. Some fans made the connection because the arrest affidavit refers to the alleged victim only as "JK." But this still doesn't fully confirm the notion.
In any case, Ross is overseas while his case develops. His arraignment will reportedly take place on October 22 in Miami-Dade County.
