The rapper plans to focus on technology, education, criminal justice reform and economic opportunity.

Soulja Boy is looking to take his talents to the White House, it seems. This weekend, the rapper hinted at plans to run for president. Sharing a photo of himself standing in front of the United States flag, he announced the Soulja Boy 2028 campaign.

“A new chapter. A bigger vision. A commitment to creating opportunities for the next generation. My focus is on four things: economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, education, and the future of technology and AI. From music to business to technology, I’ve always believed in thinking bigger and challenging what’s possible,” he captioned the post. “Now I’m exploring what it means to bring that same vision to public service. The future starts with a conversation.”

Although he didn’t explicitly mention a presidential run, his agenda does read as something that would take on federal responsibilities. Maybe we’ll see Soulja Boy run in some other capacity, if he doesn’t end up trying to become the president.

Fans quickly joked in the comments about how Soulja Boy would be the first rapper to become president. However, there’s no confirmation of whether he submitted the required paperwork to run for office.

Soulja Boy For President? Rapper Hints At 2028 Campaign

Obviously, he wouldn’t be the first rapper to run for office. Kanye West had a controversial stint in 2020, though his efforts weren’t much of a success.

Outside of running for president, Soulja Boy has also been getting his feet wet in the world of streaming this year. Unfortunately, that also turned into some rifts with a few names in that space. He claimed he was banned from Kai Cenat’s Streamer University and then accused DDG of being the one responsible. He later challenged Kai to a boxing match, though Kai never responded to him.
