Official photos of the Air Jordan 11 "Green Screen" are here, and Jordan Brand went all in on the theme. The pair releases November 14th for $255.
This is one of three Air Jordan 11s celebrating the 30th anniversary of Space Jam. It's also the strangest of the pairs, in a vibrant and colorful way.
The inspiration comes from behind-the-scenes footage of Michael Jordan filming against a green screen. Jordan Brand turned that idea into a full green sneaker.
Soft green leather covers the toe, sides, and heel. A rougher suede texture shows up on the tongue and lace area. The lace loops also stay green, and a white Jumpman on the tongue adds a small pop.
The fun details are underneath. The outsole glows in the dark, and the insoles show Jordan dunking over a Monstar.
Pairs are expected through SNKRS and select Jordan Brand NBHD stores, which usually means tighter supply. The style code is IQ5700-900. Also at $255, it also costs more than the standard "Space Jam" 11, which is $235.
Air Jordan 11 “Green Screen”
The "Green Screen" 11 takes a different approach to the anniversary. Instead of retelling the original, it nods to how the movie was made. That's a new angle for a film that mixed live action with animation.
Jordan Brand is celebrating Space Jam all holiday season. The standard "Space Jam" 11 arrives December 12th, and a Galaxy version is expected too. Tyler Reddick's Monstars NASCAR car is part of the same theme.
A glow-in-the-dark sole and a loud, all-green upper will divide people. Some will love it, and some will skip it. Either way, it's the kind of pair that gets talked about.
Resale is worth watching because the hype is always going to be high for an 11. Don't be surprised if this one resells for well above retail. Jordan Brand is definitely leaning into the 11 this year, and this one might be the most vibrant one yet.
