Young Thug is set to drop a new album, and with R&B on the horizon, he has chosen Drake as a frequent collaborator.

Young Thug is looking to bounce back following the release of UY SCUTI, an album that did not hit like fans wanted it to. Overall, Thugger just didn't put his best foot forward with that project, and the songs were deemed unacceptable by a large portion of fans.

Even Slime Language 3 has suffered from some bloat. However, his recent YSL tour has been doing well, and there is renewed interest in the label's lineup. Going into next year, Young Thug wants to drop some new music, and he has some big plans on the horizon.

For instance, in a recent interview, Young Thug revealed that he may very well be on the verge of dropping some new music with Drake.

“We got a few songs… We finna drop, finna do what we gotta do," Thugger said.

Young Thug Is Prepared

Elsewhere, Young Thug revealed that he is thinking of coming through with an R&B album. It feels as though Drake could be the perfect fit for such a project. However, he did make it clear that this new project will be s*xual in nature.

“I’m going real R&B," he explained. "Most of the songs are like s*xual though, it’s probably 2 or 3 heartbreak songs. Most of them are just like fun times, but it’s R&B, though.”

New Young Thug music is always an exciting prospect, but if he can't get back to the old version of himself, then perhaps that excitement won't exist for much longer. In a world where rap is losing mainstream influence, an artist like Young Thug is being looked to as a potential fix. Only time will tell whether or not he can be the change hip-hop needs.
