LUCKI and Playboi Carti are two rappers that had past tension, but none of them expected their social media feud to allegedly break out into serious danger. The Chicago rapper was reportedly attacked during an altercation at ComplexCon yesterday afternoon (Saturday, October 3) in the parking lot, and it was allegedly during an altercation with Carti's camp.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources reportedly confirmed LUCKI suffered a laceration while surrounded by fans at around 4:40PM local time. An unknown assailant hit the side of his face and caused a neck laceration, with the Los Angeles Police Department later identifying another stabbing victim and two more injured individuals identified.
Per sources, there were four victims; three in stable condition, and one who took themselves to a hospital. Police didn't identify who the other victims were at press time, and unknown details about how many suspects became involved haven't led to any arrests as of writing this article.
LUCKI Fight
LAPD is reportedly investigating the altercation as attempted murder. Various videos of the fight have gone viral on social media. Some of them show Carti watching the whole thing go down from his vehicle, while others show a bloodied LUCKI getting in his car and being accompanied by security.
The Dr*gs R Bad MC reportedly said he's "good" via Instagram DMs. He also posted an Instagram Story about two hours ago as of writing this article. It was a video of the artist with fans at ComplexCon, and he captioned it with a heart-hand emoji. It seems like he's recovering well after the incident, but hasn't said much else about it. Sadly, LUCKI faced other crimes this year. He suffered a robbery due to the theft of $500K in items from his West Hollywood home.
LUCKI and Playboi Carti seemed to squash their issues, so many fans expressed confusion over what allegedly happened here between their entourages. There are some eyewitness accounts pointing to issues with security staff, but neither official authorities nor Complex have addressed the situation at press time.
Meanwhile, it seems like ComplexCon canceled various events due to this fight, but Ken Carson and others still performed. Opium worked extensively for this ComplexCon, as Carti and others will perform tomorrow and he is one of the vent's artistic directors. This also led to a lot of discussion on social media. We'll see what other details and updates emerge from this scary situation, and we hope the injured individuals recover swiftly and fully.
