Cardi B has been a music industry star for almost a decade now, and that experience has led her to conclude it's not as dependable of an income source as fans may believe. Instead, she believes her new vegan hair-care line, Grow-Good Beauty, is a much better way for her four children to inherit a sustainable and autonomous fortune.
The Bronx superstar recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier at the Create & Cultivate festival, the largest celebration for women in business at which she also performed. She's built an estimated $120 million empire according to the outlet, and she spoke on backing a new and innovative product with success so far. Frazier asked Cardi if Grow-Good is for her kids, which led to her reflection at around the 4:10-minute mark of the YouTube video below.
"Absolutely. I was panicking. 'Cause like, I leave this Earth, and my kids are going to have just music royalties," she remarked. "They are most likely going to have to be arguing with people about it. They're going to have a couple of properties and a couple of liquor money. But what is something that, God forbid something happens to me, I leave behind that is for them? And this is, God forbid something happens to me, this is theirs, it's yours."
Cardi B's Family's Financial Legacy
The 33-year-old said her daughter Kulture might probably run Grow-Good one day and even teased she might have two more kids. Amid some relationship rumors and drama, though, she clarified she doesn't want them now.
Elsewhere during the interview, Cardi B talked about new music, as she had previously teased her next album will come out in 2027. "Even this year, I'm going to be dropping little things, little by little," she expressed. "Good music. I've just been having an insane year. So I'm just going to talk about what's been going on these past couple of months... Right now, I feel like I'm hot, and I don't want to lose the momentum."
Cardi B shares three children with her former husband Offset: their eight-year-old Kulture, their five-year-old son Wave, and their two-year-old daughter Blossom. She had a son with Stefon Diggs, who was born last November.
