Lil Durk is still waiting for a verdict in his murder-for-hire trial. It has been 24 hours since the jury started deliberating, and they have yet to come to a conclusion on the five charges the artist is facing.
On Wednesday evening, the jury delivered a note to the court requesting digital evidence. Given the cumbersome nature of this process, it was stated that the jury would have to reconvene this morning, as that's when the evidence would be available.
After just one hour of deliberation, another note was sent to the court. According to Meghann Cuniff, the note was not about a potential verdict. Instead, the jurors were looking for instructions pertaining to the two stalking charges. Those charges include conspiracy to commit stalking and stalking resulting in death.
Lil Durk Stalking Charges Under Review
The judge has provided the necessary instructions to the jurors, who have returned to their chambers for deliberation. At this time, it remains to be seen whether or not a verdict ends up coming down today.
However, the fact that the jury is hung up on the stalking charges suggests that the murder-for-hire charges could be decided by now. That is the most important charge of the entire case, as it is what could ultimately land Durk with a sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole.
Durk has two co-defendants in the case, including OTF Dede and Browneyez. They are facing similar life sentences if convicted.
