Judge Michael W Fitzgerald found himself siding with DJ Akademiks on Wednesday as the jury entered deliberations for the Lil Durk case.

The court did not reach a verdict in the Lil Durk case on Wednesday, as jurors asked for digital evidence. It was revealed that the digitization process is a lengthy one and that jurors would have the evidence by this morning at 8:30 AM local time.

Overall, this case could very well wrap up today. If the jury comes to a verdict, then that will be the end of it. However, there are other storylines taking place within the trial that have captured the public's attention.

For instance, during closing arguments on Tuesday, DJ Akademiks was mentioned on numerous occasions. His "Off The Record" interview with Lil Durk was a major point of contention. In fact, prosecutors said that it was evidence of Lil Durk admitting to a murder.

With the jury mentioning the interview in their notes on Wednesday, the judge offered some sympathy for Akademiks, who is not a witness and was never asked to testify. As Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald explains, Ak has every right to be upset with this process.

"I understand why DJ Akademiks is furious with this. He was not a witness," the judge stated.

Lil Durk Verdict Delayed By A Day

DJ Akademiks has been the subject of scrutiny over the last 24 hours or so, as some believe that he could be the reason why Lil Durk gets life in prison. Some have even likened Ak to VladTV given the nature of his interview with Durk.

Ultimately, the admissibility of Ak's interview with the artist is still being questioned, and it appears as though the jurors aren't all the way convinced about the relevance.

Jury deliberations will continue this morning as of 8:30 AM PST, which translates to 11:30 for those living on the East Coast. Stay tuned for updates, as we will be sure to bring them to you.
