Lil Wayne just teased a Fortnite crossover fans have wanted for years, and the hints keep piling up ahead of an official announcement.

Lil Wayne is teasing a possible collaboration with Fortnite. He shared a video to his Instagram Story showing shattered glass, captioned "COMING SOON." Epic Games hasn't confirmed anything on its end yet.

This follows an earlier teaser from September 8th, when Wayne posted the phrase "Where we dropping?" on his story. Of course that's a direct nod to Fortnite and started to get the rumor mill going.

Fortnite leakers picked up on it almost immediately. Accounts like HYPEX and ShiinaBR flagged the post as a likely sign of an upcoming crossover. HYPEX later posted "LIL WAYNE x FORTNITE COMING SOON" while noting some uncertainty around timing.

Wayne has never had a Fortnite skin, despite some time of fan requests for one. Epic has built out its Icon Series with artists like Juice WRLD, Travis Scott, and Ice Spice already. Recently, Playboi Carti's Fortnite collab made the game's servers crash. Wayne joining would be a notable one given how long fans have pushed for it.

There's also a small musical connection already in place. Wayne appears on Tyler, The Creator's "Sticky," a track that's part of Fortnite's existing music ecosystem alongside GloRilla and Sexyy Red.

Lil Wayne x Fortnite Collab

Fortnite's Icon Series has grown its hip hop presence over the past few years. Adding a rapper as established as Lil Wayne would fit right into that pattern. His catalog alone gives Epic plenty of material to build around.

Fans have already started speculating about which songs could show up if this becomes official. Tracks like "A Milli," "6 Foot 7 Foot," and "Lollipop" have all been floated online. Nothing of that has been confirmed, but the excitement shows how much demand exists for this exact crossover.

There's also some confusion tied to the timing. There's no word yet from Fortnite or Wayne himself about when this collaboration will actually materialize.

Overall for now, nothing is locked in beyond Wayne's own teasers. Given how quickly these things tend to move once official confirmation drops, fans likely won't be waiting long for more details.
