The Air Jordan 5 "Black Cat" is set to release in the Fall of 2027 for $220. It's expected through SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. Also, a style code hasn't been officially confirmed yet.
This colorway was originally supposed to drop back in 2024. Jordan Brand quietly scrapped that release before it ever hit shelves. Now, 3 years later, the shoe is finally getting another shot at release.
Black leather covers the entire uppers. That includes the shark-tooth midsole detailing and side panel cutouts. Everything gets the same tonal, all-black treatment throughout.
Nike Air branding now sits on the heel instead of the Jumpman logo used on the canceled 2024 version. The "23" returns on the lateral side in the original-style font. Both details bring this version closer to the classic Air Jordan 5 shape overall.
The Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4 have already gotten their own "Black Cat" treatments. The Air Jordan 5 has never had a widely released version of its own. That's a big part of what makes this release feel special, even though wer're still a year out.
