On Friday, we received the first posthumous offering from Nipsey Hussle’s estate, a joint project with Bino Rideaux titled Prolific. The album was stacked with appearances from James Fauntleroy, BH, and even Cardi B but some of Nip’s closest collaborators during his lifetime were absent for this one, including his “F.D.T” collaborator, YG.
Apparently, the session that produced their politically-charged hit record was part of a bigger project that the two were working on. Blacc Sam told Bootleg Kev that there’s more unreleased music from Nipsey Hussle that’s tucked away and set to drop in the future. As All Hip-Hop pointed out, Blacc Sam also confirmed that a joint project with YG could be in the itinerary.
“I think that ‘F**k Donald Trump’ came from those sessions, from one of those sessions and they just ended up leaking it,” Blacc Sam explained. “I know there probably are some verses, a lot of the team and a lot of [their] guys sent over everything when we did a blitz to see what was out.”
Nipsey Hussle Documentary Is On The Way
Outside of the YG project, Blacc Sam revealed that they are strategically planning the release of new music for the upcoming documentary.
“For us, the soundtrack to the documentary is where dope records that are close to being complete or don’t fully have a project or haven’t landed on a project and are kind of timestamped to where you could tell Hussle was younger here, Hussle older here. In my eyes, they’re going to go for the soundtrack for the doc because we can, alright, this is episode one is when he was earlier. This record was recorded there,” he explained.
We will keep you posted on any further updates on new Nipsey Hussle music and the potential YG collaboration project.
