The viral A$AP Rocky image fooled Boosie BadAzz, who has now apologized after hearing the rapper’s explanation.

The thong photo that sent Boosie BadAzz into a rant was fake, and now he is apologizing to ASAP Rocky for taking the image at face value. Boosie walked back his criticism after hearing Rocky explain that the viral concert photo had been manipulated to make a piece of his microphone equipment look like underwear.

“MY BAD ASAP IF THAT PHOTO WAS PHOTOSHOPPED BRO!!” Boosie wrote on X. He admitted that the image caught him completely off guard and said he felt compelled to speak when he believed it was real. “THATS MY BAD IF IT WAS PHOTOSHOPPED BRO,” he added before ending the message with “#love.”

His original reaction was considerably louder. The photo quickly became another viral debate around the Harlem rapper’s willingness to play with fashion, even though the supposed thong was never actually part of his outfit.

Laying Rumors To Rest

Rocky finally addressed the situation during his recent interview with Jason Lee. He confirmed that the image had been Photoshopped and said Boosie apparently believed what he saw. “Boosie, he older so he really think that is what it is,” Rocky joked. “Boosie bugged out for that.”

AWGE had already pushed back against the rumor, identifying the visible strap as part of Rocky’s mic pack. Instead of simply correcting everyone, the company used the attention to launch an actual thong collection. Rocky told Lee that leaning into the joke paid off. He said the thongs sold out on the first night and explained that he would rather find a way to capitalize on being mocked than spend his time angry about it.

Boosie’s apology appears to close his end of the controversy. He did not defend the comments once he learned the image was altered, while Rocky seemed more amused than offended when discussing the situation with Lee. What started as a fake photo ultimately produced a real merchandise drop and, several weeks later, a public mea culpa.
