Lil Durk is under fire from the prosecution amidst his bond filing as the Feds are now accusing him of orchestrating celebrity support.

Lil Durk is currently in the midst of fighting for bond as he awaits a VICAR trial set for August of 2027. His bail package was quite extensive as it included royalties, publishing rights, name/image/likeness, and touring. Furthermore, it came with $1 million from Sony Music Entertainment in the form of an Appearance Bond.

Additionally, this bail package came with some powerful character letters from some heavy-hitters like JAY-Z, J. Cole, and even Michael Rubin. Some felt as though this would be enough for the artist to get the elusive bond. However, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald will be giving his decision at a later date.

In the meantime, he also needs to review a filing from the Federal prosecutors, which came at the final hour before his hearing on Wednesday. In this filing, the Feds accused Durk of securing contraband and "talking back" to prison officials.

They have also aimed at Lil Durk's celebrity endorsers. According to Complex, one of the most interesting tidbits from all of this is that the prosecutors also felt as though Kanye West's appearance at the trial was some sort of cynical ploy.

Prosecutors Go After Lil Durk

They also accused Durk of paying supporters to march outside the courtroom. Feds alleged this was done to “dazzle and distract members of the public with perceived community support --- in spaces visible to then-sitting jurors.”

Needless to say, the prosecutors are doing everything in their power to stop Lil Durk from getting his bond. In the end, it will be up to Judge Fitzgerald, who has not given an indication of which way he might be leaning.

This remains a developing story, so be sure to stay tuned for updates.
