JD Sports has reportedly received shipments of the Yeezy YS-01 Slide, signaling the August 13th release is still on track.

New photos are giving fans a real reason to believe this release is actually happening. Stockroom images show stacks of Yeezy-branded boxes now sitting inside a JD Sports location. The caption simply reads "Ye is back."

This comes after a rocky few weeks for the release. The Yeezy YS-01 Slide briefly appeared on JD Sports' release calendar with an August 13th date. That listing was pulled shortly after, leaving fans unsure if the drop was still happening at all. No official reason was ever given for the removal, which only added to the confusion.

Seeing actual product show up in stores is a strong signal things are back on track. It suggests the removal was likely a scheduling issue rather than a full cancellation. Shipments arriving ahead of a release date is usually a good sign for buyers. It also means employees are likely already prepping displays and stockrooms ahead of launch day.

This marks a big moment for Ye's independent Yeezy brand. It would be the first time his footwear returns to a major retail chain since the adidas partnership ended. Up until now, Yeezy products have only been available through the brand's own website, which hasn't always made for the smoothest shopping experience.

YS-01 Yeezy Slides

The YS-01 is priced at $44 through JD Sports, slightly higher than the $40 price on Yeezy's own site. It's the same molded foam slide design from the adidas era, just without the Three Stripes branding.

Exact colorways for the JD Sports launch haven't been confirmed. Yeezy's own site has previously offered the slide in shades like Chocolate, Blue, Grey, and Black. Pairs are expected to be available both online and in select stores.

For a brand that's struggled with shipping delays in the past, a retail partner like JD Sports could make a real difference. Faster fulfillment and easier returns alone could change how fans feel about buying Yeezy again. If August 13th holds, this becomes one of the more notable sneaker retail moments of the year.
