    The SAE racism scandal is a whirlpool, and it has now sucked in Trinidad James. Just days after the appearance of the scandal-inducing video, another video surfaced -- those frat bros' elderly house mom rapping along to James' 2013 smash hit "All Gold Everything," which prominently features the n-word.

They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh-huh honey".

    Well that ride didn’t last too long. After signing with Def Jam back in 2012 following the success of “All Gold Everything”, Trinidad James is no longer member of the family. Taking to twitter Friday night, Trinidad announced that he has been dropped from Def Jam Records. Along with that, TJ revealed that he’ll be releasing his debut album for free now, and any producer looking to get paid, better not get their hopes up. Trinidad stated “If u hear ur beat or verse on it. I hope u want dap cuz i got no money”. (So much for all that gold he had).

     After being spotted with Justin Bieber, Diddy, Rick Ross, T.I. and many others the other night at Vanquish nightclub, Trinidad James is back in the headlines for something that's not so much fun. The “All Gold Everything” rapper just got busted for possession of marijuana after lighting up in his Mississippi hotel room.

    Hip-hop artists stunt exceptionally well at the best of times. Whether it’s dope performances, providing quality albums, or being trendsetters, there’s always a lot to be celebrated within rap music.  However, even the most successful of hip-hop artists miss the mark sometimes (some more than others!). While we definitely enjoy their best moments, we can also sometimes enjoy their failings-- it just reminds us that they're as human as any of us, and brings them back down to earth if only slightly.

    Trinidad James sparked a minor controversy this year when he suggested that southern hip hop "ran" New York. We heard some responses from NY artists on the comments (Maino most visibly), but haven't heard from anyone from Atlanta, who Trinidad seemed to be speaking for.

    Trinidad James was one of many celeberties seen rocking the Air Jordan 3 "Legends of the Summer" and the more and more we see of it we wonder, will we ever see a release date? Trinidad James rocked them with all red jogger pants and he also left the hang tag on, typical Trinidad James. The Air Jordan 3 "Legends of the Summer"  features a premium nubuck upper with hits of patent leather on the toe and white premium leather on the inner lining.
