New music from NxWorries is on the way.

Anderson .Paak has come a long way since he first came to prominence following his show-stealing appearances on Dr. Dre's long-awaited Compton album. He released a critically acclaimed and Grammy nominated solo album, Malibu, and put out an album, Yes Lawd! as part of NxWorries, alongside producer Knxwledge, who has had a prolific career as well, signing to Stone's Throw records and have released over 80 albums and EP's on online since 2009.

Both of those albums were released back in 2016, and since then aside from some memorable features, we've had little in the way of Anderson .Paak music, but that's about to change come this Friday, May 4th.

On the Instagram account for NxWorries, the group posted a snippet of an animated video, featuring illustrations of Paak and Knxwledge driving though waves of orange light. A snippet of a new song plays over the video as well, and it's sounding like the familiar Paak that we all know and love.

The post was captioned as such, "May 4th 👀🔥 #nxworries #andersonpaak #knxwledge #yeslawd @anderson._paak @knxwledge." It doesn't seem likely that the "#yeslawd" would be the name of the new song, as that was the name of their last album as well, it appears we'll have to wait and see exactly what awaits in store for us when the surprise drops on Friday. Hopefully we can get the announcement of a new album, and not just a new single.
