Back in September, Jamla Squad’s first lady Rapsody released her critically acclaimed debut album Laila’s Wisdom, which featured guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Paak, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more. The project even earned her a Grammy Nomination for Best Rap Album, along with Kendrick Lamar, Migos, Tyler The Creator & Jay Z.
In support of the album however, Rapsody decided to come through today and share the official video for her Eric G-produced record “Sassy.”
Directed by Mac Grant and Chad Tennies, the video finds Rapsody taking one of her girl friends to a house party for a night away from her troubles. They later hop in the drop top and cruise around the streets at night time, before finish the evening with a dance party at a diner. There’s also a cameo from Big KRIT, who makes an appearance near the video’s tail-end.
