Kanye West is facing more legal trouble.

Kanye West is facing a lawsuit from Justin Poplawski and his wife Tiffany Marshall for alleged assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and loss of consortium. Poplawski, who describes himself as a "well-respected autograph dealer," claims West punched him twice in Los Angeles in 2022.

In the couple's filing , they claim West "physically assault, harm, batter, and injure Poplawski, with the intent of committing such assault, harm, battery, and injury, when, without limitation, [Ye] unlawfully and intentionally struck him. Physically and violently attacked and battered him; and repeatedly struck him while he was defenseless and in fear for his safety causing Plaintiff to sustain damages." The filing adds that West acted "with a conscious disregard of the rights and safety of [the autograph seeker] and others and was despicable."

During the incident, Poplawski says West shouted "I'm going to make a f*cking example of you" as well as "Go the f*ck [out of] here before I beat the f*ck out of you. I'm going to make a f*cking example of you." He also allegedly referenced his divorce from Kim Kardashian and told those he was with to "go to the f*cking house and get my f*cking kids." The altercation went viral on social media at the time, as a witness recorded the aftermath. Check out that video below.

Police originally investigated the altercation, but couldn't get enough evidence for a conviction. The L.A. City Attorney's Office said at the time: "After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office is declining to file based on no reasonable likelihood of conviction."
