Johnny Depp is reportedly set to make history with a new three-year deal with Dior, according to Variety and Complex. The deal, which is said to be worth more than $20 million, will extend Depp's longstanding partnership with the brand. A source close to the situation has confirmed the details of the deal with Complex. The brand was one of the few who stood with Johnny Depp throughout the allegations made by his ex-wife.

The reported value of the deal surpasses Robert Pattinson's estimated $12 million deal with Dior Homme. Pattinson had previously held the record for the biggest deal with a fragrance. However, with Depp's deal reportedly being upwards of $20 million, it is now the biggest men's fragrance deal ever made. When approached for comment by Complex, a representative for Depp declined to comment. Apparently, Complex has reached out to a Dior representative for comment. While it does not appear set in stone just yet, it is a huge step forward for Depp in regaining control of his career and public image.

Johnny Depp's Disastrous Divorce

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were in a highly publicized and contentious relationship that ended in divorce. In 2020, Depp sued the British newspaper The Sun for libel over a 2018 article that referred to him as a "wife-beater." A British court ruled in Depp's favor, stating that the newspaper had not proven its allegations to be substantially true. However, Heard maintained her allegations and spoke publicly about her experiences. The case garnered widespread media attention and led to a lot of discussion about domestic abuse and the role of the media in reporting on such cases. Last year, the drama reached a head in a new lawsuit that took place stateside.

In 2022, Johnny Depp won a libel lawsuit against his former partner Amber Heard. The case received a lot of media attention. In the end, both sides contested related judgments in two appeals that have since been settled. After the trial, Depp made several high-profile public appearances, including a guest appearance in Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4. Despite some criticism of his resurgence in the aftermath of the Heard case, there are no signs that Depp's public appearances are slowing down. He is set to lead the film Jeanne du Barry, which will open the 2023 Cannes Film Festival this month.
