Ski Mask the Slump God

<p>Before you turn your attention to the Super Bowl (and <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/631408-dj-khaled-gives-rihanna-sweet-message-before-super-bowl-halftime-show" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rihanna&#8217;s Halftime show</a>) this evening, we have a hot new single for all hip-hop heads to check out. On Friday (February 10), DJ Scheme and Danny Towers came together to finally drop &#8220;Florida Water,&#8221; which sees them link up with <a href="/tags/ski-mask-the-slump-god" class="text-word" target="_blank" >Ski Mask The Slump God</a>. Additionally, the pair is joined by Luh Tyler to complete the joint effort.</p>



<p>For the producer&#8217;s part, he put together a low-note piano bassline for the three lyricists to coast over. Throughout his lyrics, Towers markedly taunts haters, reminding them that he&#8217;s not afraid to throw them in the shark-infested ocean that separates his home state and Cuba. Following him is the &#8220;Back Flippin&#8221; artist, whose bars are all about securing the bag.</p>

<p>Finally, Ski Mask closes things out on &#8220;Florida Waters.&#8221; As per usual, his emphatic ad-libs and signature animated flow steal the show, leaving listeners desperate for more from every artist involved. While we don&#8217;t have release dates for any other upcoming single, we do know the accompanying music video is due out sometime this week.</p>



<p>As noted in a press release, this song, in particular, marks a big moment for DJ Scheme. He previously made waves at the end of 2020 with his <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/306573-dj-scheme-shares-family-ft-lil-yachty-cordae-skrillex-ty-dolla-sign-and-more-new-mixtape" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">debut album, <em>FAMILY</em></a>. That 17-track effort saw him collaborating with names like Jackboy, <a href="/profile/lilyachty" class="text-word" target="_blank" >Lil Yachty</a>, <a href="/profile/TyDollaSign" class="text-word" target="_blank" >Ty Dolla $ign</a>, and the late <a href="/profile/Lil-Keed" class="text-word" target="_blank" >Lil Keed</a>.</p>
