Neo-soul goddess Erykah Badu stopped by Hot 97 yesterday to talk some real shit with Ebro and Rosenberg, and although the conversation was wide in scope, things naturally wandered toward Badu's fascinating relationship with her three baby daddies. For those unfamiliar, Badu has three children, each one wait a different legendary rapper for a father. Those men are Andre 3000, Jay Electronica, and The D.O.C., all lyrical icons of their respective era.
Badu spoke about the love between the men and their children, and how this strange (incredible) family compound actually works really well. Here's what she had to say:
"Andre - I'm like a big sister to him, and he gives me a lot of great advice."
"Jay Electronica ... we're very close. He's very protective. He's a solider. He wouldn't let anything happen to me or any of my kids or any of the fathers."
"D.O.C. ... he and Puma are very close. He's a nurturer. so he nurtures all my children the same."
"They could be at my house at any given time together. Holidays are a reality show ... They're beautiful, they're wonderful. They love and respect me. They're my friends."
