A few days before getting arrested under suspicion of murdering his two friends YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy, YNW Melly was busy running press for his newest album. He stopped by our office to chat about We All Shine, touching on how he was making music in prison and his general experience in the industry to this date. Nobody could have predicted that just a few days after, he would be accused of something so terrible. Before getting arrested, he filmed an episode of Arts & Raps, crafting handmade chains with a few kids.
Last week, All Def published a new interview with YNW Melly where he touched on releasing an album from jail, what YNW stands for and who he prefers between J. Cole and Young Thug. In a move that shouldn't be surprising, Melly said that he prefers Thugger's music, mostly because he's just trying to vibe a lot of the time. He said that when he listens to Cole, it makes him think too much. Melly also gave some money to the kids, giving them style advice and encouraging them to spend some cash on their girlfriends.
