It was basically inarguable that this was the year of Cardi B. Whether you love or hate her, it's undeniable that she had one of the quickest and most efficient rises in the music industry in 2018. The entertainer went from a reality star with a ridiculous personality to one of the most popular rappers in the world. She's still working hard on her brand too and as she works through her relationship problems with Offset, she's been making sure to channel her frustration into her music.
Her plans for the upcoming year are unclear. We were expecting a new project from the superstar in September but, as we all know, that never came. After it was indefinitely shelved, we began to wait to hear more information from the Bronx artist. She's previewed a few singles and released "Money," and today she decided to give us all another taste of what she's coming with in the new year.
Bardi posted up in the studio as one of her team members filmed her singing along to an unreleased song. Much like many of her flows, Cardi is very present in her vocal performance as she exclaims, "I'm pressed pressed pressed pressed pressed/ Cardi don't need more press." At this point, there are headlines about the singer every single day so it's no surprise that she's referencing her growing clout in her songs. She also took the opportunity to plug Fashion Nova, putting her marketing mind to use.
