Be prepared to roam your neighbourhood in search of some prehistoric creatures.

Jurassic World Alive will be available in the App Store and Google Play on Wednesday, and is being likened to Pokemon Go, as both games require its users to roam around any given neighbourhood in order to collect a roster of creatures.

In Jurassic World Alive, a player will have to accumulate a vast repertoire of dinosaurs by navigating through one's city. When an individual encounters a dinosaur and taps on them, the game will launch a virtual drone, requiring he/she to shoot a tranquilizer dart at it. The better the shot, the more DNA a prospective player will be able to collect, which can then be used to genetically modify a dinosaur in a laboratory later in the game.

After a player has collected enough dinosaurs, they will eventually be granted access to a mode that will pit the creatures against one another in a real-time, player-versus-player arena battle.

"With Jurassic World Alive, our goal is for audiences to be fully immersed in a world with living dinosaurs in a way that’s never been possible until today," reveals Alex Thabet, president and CEO of gaming development company Ludia. "Players will have the opportunity to connect with fellow ‘Jurassic World’ fans who can search for dinosaurs together, as well as challenge each other in a unique real-time PvP battle mode accessible anywhere, anytime."
