Antoine Fuqua and Marvel? Yes, please.

Antoine Fuqua is beyond a talented director, he's a visionary. Fuqua brought us Training Day, The Equalizer, and The Magnificent Seven, among other excellent films. Speaking with HeyUGuysFuqua revealed that he has been approached by both Sony and Disney to helm a superhero movie. His only worry would be the amount of interaction he has with his art, and Fuqua referenced the fact that all the visual effects seems to take away from the director's vision.

“For me, it has to be the right one, in the right situation 'cause there’s so much visual effects going on," he stated. "Where’s the director in it all? I need to understand it because it’s like management. Because they have a machine, they’ve got people, there’s the design, the whole thing is sketched out, and storyboards. Is the director doing that? Or is it a hundred other people?" When it comes to Marvel, the answer is most likely the hundred other people. Fuqua continued on to reveal that he has been approached by Sony to work on the upcoming Morbius film starring Jared Leto as the Spider-Man villain who is a vampire.

"Sony asked me to do Morbius," he began before dropping the bombshell that Marvel Studio head Kevin Feige has approached him as well. "I'ma have a meeting with Kevin, soon. Just talking in general. I think that's he doing an amazing job." Fuqua also says he was approached about directing Black Panther. Check out the interview below.
