Azealia Banks shares her opinion about Nicki Minaj and Cardi B's upcoming releases.

Possibly the most outspoken figure in hip-hop, and definitely leading her female emcee counterparts in terms of candid behavior, is Azealia Banks. Never one to shy away from sharing her opinion, the New York rapper was lurking in the Instagram comments to clear her mind about Cardi B and Nicki Minaj's upcoming full-length projects. Cardi updated her IG story yesterday to tell fans to be patient as her album is on the way, to which Banks somehow took issue to.

Azealia Banks wrote that, in lieu of the Cardi announcement, Nicki should push her own release back to the spring of 2019. Azealia continued that, if Cardi drops during the summer, Nicki should plan her release to directly follow it, to starve her out of achieving success with the project. The comments allude to an assumption among many that not more than one female rapper can succeed at a time, which is simply a dated mindset. With the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements going strong in Hollywood, 2018 is a big year for women to receive the recognition they deserve and the same can be said for women in hip-hop.

Banks also touched on Remy Ma's upcoming project, stating that she is not a factor because "She's too masculine to battle with any of the leading names in female rap and her taste in beats also sucks." Yikes. Azealia did not hold back here. She is also planning the release of Fantasea II: The Second Wave, which is due next month. Check out her comments about Nicki, Cardi, and Remy below.
