Yeezy is officially going back to the runway. Ye has announced Yeezy Season 01, a fashion show set for Wednesday, November 4th, at 8 p.m. local time in Los Angeles.
The show will take place at the Yeezy Flagship Droam 1 store, located at 4317 Beverly Boulevard. That confirms the earlier report that Ye was planning a show at the brand’s new flagship.
It will be Yeezy’s first runway show in more than four years. That makes this one of the most anticipated fashion moments of the fall.
The name is also worth noting. Calling it Season 01 suggests Yeezy is starting a fresh chapter instead of continuing the old numbering.
Details about the clothes have not been shared yet. We do not know the lineup of models, the music, or whether any new footwear will appear.
Fans are hoping to see the $800 sneaker that was reported earlier this year. Ye has also been seen in an unreleased AB-01 and the Yeezy 800 over the past few months.
The setting is smaller and more personal than past shows. Instead of a big arena or a fashion week venue, Ye is using his own store.
Yeezy LA Fashion Show
Yeezy has been rebuilding for a while as the brand relaunched quietly this year, sells basic pieces on its website, and works with JD Sports for slides and other footwear.
The Yeezy 800 sneaker is expected in December, and the Yeezy 800 High Tactical Boot has been teased as well.
A runway show would give all of those pieces a bigger stage. It would also show how Yeezy plans to move forward after its split with adidas.
Ye’s old runway shows were known for big ideas and big surprises. Season 3 filled Madison Square Garden, and other seasons used spaces like Roosevelt Island.
Overall, Yeezy Season 01 could be a major turning point for the brand. If the show lands well, it could set up a big holiday season.
