Yeezy may be heading back to the runway. According to a new report, Ye is planning a fashion show in Los Angeles.
Puck reports that the show would take place at Yeezy's new flagship store, on the corner of Beverly Boulevard and Kingsley Drive. The report cites a source with direct knowledge.
There is no date yet, and Yeezy has not confirmed anything. So basically it means this is still a rumor for now.
The setting would be a big change from recent years. Ye has mostly kept his fashion projects quiet, and his last big runway moment was Yeezy Season 9 in Paris in 2022. Seven months later, he held a very low-key Season 10 show in Los Angeles that barely showed any clothes.
It was also reported in August that Yeezy plans to launch a new sneaker for the holiday season, with a pretty hefty price of $800. A runway show could be the perfect place to show it off.
Yeezy is also active again at retail. Products are available on its website, and JD Sports has been selling Yeezy pieces since August. A show at the flagship would also show how much the brand has changed since leaving Adidas.
Kanye West Plans Yeezy Fashion Show
Yeezy has a long runway history. The brand's first show was Yeezy Season 2 in 2015, and the later seasons became some of the biggest events in fashion.
Some of those shows were huge productions. Others were small and strange, which made them even more talked about. It is a very Ye move to choose his own store as the venue. It gives him full control over the setting and the guest list.
We have seen a lot of Yeezy news lately. An unreleased YZY AB-01 appeared on Ye's feet last weekend, the Yeezy 800 sneaker is expected in December, and the Yeezy 800 High Tactical Boot is still waiting on a date.
If the runway show happens, it could be a big moment for the brand. We will keep watching for more details.
