MoMA is officially stepping into Jordan Brand territory. The MoMA x Air Jordan 1 High OG collection is set to release on March 20th, 2027 for $205 per pair.
The MoMA x Air Jordan 1 collection was first reported for Spring 2027, and now a specific date has appeared. Jordan Brand and the museum have not confirmed it.
The collection includes 3 colorways. Each pair sits on a black base, with grey, orange, and purple used as the accent colors.
The style codes are JF3014-001 for grey, JF3014-002 for orange, and JF3014-003 for purple. Off-white details are expected across the group.
No official images have surfaced yet, so the design is still a mystery. Overall, it is hard to guess how the museum will interpret the shoe. Pairs are expected through MoMA, SNKRS, and select Jordan Brand retailers.
This is the first time MoMA’s relationship with Nike has reached Jordan Brand. The connection goes back to 2017, when an Air Force 1 High appeared in the museum’s “Items: Is Fashion Modern?” exhibition.
Next year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Nike and MoMA partnership, which makes the timing feel intentional. The museum’s Design Store also launched a Nike sock collection in 2024.

MoMA x Air Jordan 1 High
The Air Jordan 1 High OG is one of the most important sneakers ever made, so it is a smart canvas for an art museum.
A Jordan Brand and MoMA project also fits the brand’s 30th anniversary as its own company in 2027.
Jordan Brand is reportedly planning to release fewer Air Jordan 1 High OGs in 2027. That could make these three pairs stand out even more.
It has also been a busy stretch for Jordan 1 collabs. The Fragment x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG is another example of a design-focused partnership.
Black is also a safe base for a museum collab. It gives the accent colors room to pop, and it keeps the silhouette easy to wear. Overall, MoMA x Air Jordan 1 could become one of the most talked-about collabs of 2027. Fans will want official images soon.
