A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are one of pop culture's most high-profile couples, and they are always talking about each other's moves. However, this dynamic may have resulted in some bickering at home. Earlier this year, Rocky teased his boo is working on new music, which may have led to a stern talking-to.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the Academy Museum Gala last night (Saturday, October 17), he answered a question about what the next day was like after this tease. As it turns out, the Harlem creative will now think twice before spilling any alleged tea about what RiRi is up to in the studio.
"It was hell," he remarked with a laugh. "Yeah, I shouldn't have done that." The interviewer then asked if the rapper, actor, and fashion designer would like to clarify anything. "Nah, I'm going to mind my business," he replied.
Elsewhere, A$AP Rocky is focused on his own music. He recently dropped the "Shroom Clouds" single with reggie and Jeremih as the lead-up to his "Disc 2" deluxe of his early 2026 album Don't Be Dumb. It was the long-awaited follow-up in Rocky's discography after 2018's TESTING, and his romantic partner is in a similar spot.
Rihanna's New Album
The Barbadian superstar's last album, 2016's ANTI, is still a beloved body of work. But fans are desperate to hear her highly anticipated ninth studio album, which the Navy widely refers to as R9. This is far from the first tease we've gotten about it, and it won't be the last. But it seems like RiRi's boo won't be the one to hype fans up in the future.
Ironically, though, Rihanna herself talked about her new music at a recent Fenty Beauty event, as she revealed she's sitting on a vault of approximately 170 songs. Nevertheless, it seems like we're back to square one when it comes to the theories around R9.
Sadly, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna's other dealings are much less fun to talk about. The woman accused of shooting at their home pleaded not guilty to upgraded charges against her ahead of her upcoming trial.
