Ivanna Ortiz allegedly opened fire on Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's home in Los Angeles last March. At the time of the shooting, Rocky and Rihanna were in an Airstream trailer parked in the driveway. According to Rolling Stone, the singer was standing in the trajectory of one of the bullets, which pierced the trailer's windshield.
Yesterday, we reported that Ivanna Ortiz was given a psychological evaluation and was deemed fit to stand trial. Today, she had another court hearing, where she was presented with 14 charges, many of which were both new and upgraded. Ortiz faces an attempted murder charge, as well as 10 counts of using an assault weapon. There are also three counts of three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.
As Rolling Stone reports, Ortiz pleaded not guilty to the charges as she stares down life in prison. Ortiz will be back in court on October 29.

“This is a person who wanted to kill Rihanna, and everyone else was collateral damage,” District Attorney Alexander Bott said.
In a YouTube video uploaded on January 4 of 2026, Ortiz made threats towards Riri. “Listen, Rihanna. When you die, God is taking me to my future. You want to kill me. Shut the fuck up,” Ortiz said.
“Opening fire in any populated neighborhood is extremely dangerous, puts lives at risk, and will be fully prosecuted,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said following the announcement of the charges months ago. “Thankfully, no one was injured in this shooting, but this careless violence will not be tolerated in our community. Such shooters will find their next destination to be our jails and prisons.”
