The Nike Ja 4 High "Zombie" gives Ja Morant his first high-top, complete with a zip-up cover and a spooky surprise inside.

Ja Morant is getting his first signature high-top shoe, and it comes dressed for Halloween. The Nike Ja 4 High "Zombie" is set for October 31st at $180.

High-tops have become rare in signature basketball lines, so this one stands out right away. It has been a while since a Nike signature model offered one.

The big feature is a zip-up cover that sits over the laces. It hides the lacing and wraps the foot, giving the shoe a sleek, armored look.

Red drives the color story, and arrow graphics rise off the surface across the whole upper. The pattern gives the shoe plenty of texture, even from a distance.

Under the cover, the lacing setup matches the standard Ja 4. That should feel familiar to anyone who already plays in the low. The zombie theme stays out of sight until you look inside. The insole shows Ja's face as a zombie, with "Twelve Time" written in graffiti lettering.

Pairs should come through Nike.com, SNKRS, and select Nike Basketball retailers. The style code is IQ3864-600. The shoe is part of Nike's 2026 Halloween basketball collection, which begins releasing out October 23rd.

A low-top Ja 4 "Zombie" is also on the way later this month. It costs $140 and trades the red for a worn, mossy green with a glow-in-the-dark sole.

Together, the two pairs show how wide the Ja 4 can go. One looks beaten up and swampy and this pair of Ja Morant shoes look sharp and aggressive.

Morant has always pushed for bold designs. Earlier Ja models even added lace pieces that look like teeth.

A high-top may also appeal to players who want extra ankle security. Morant plays fast and explosive, so the added structure makes sense. Also other stars are joining in on the fun. LeBron James has his "Storm Drain" pair that drops on the 30th.
