DJ Vlad and Elliott Wilson were going to work together more, but after that dynamic soured, Joe Budden is questioning Wilson's moves.

The Joe Budden Podcast reacted to the latest hip-hop media flare-up on their newest episode, with its titular host having particularly harsh words. As caught by joebuddenpodreactions on YouTube, he criticized the way Elliott Wilson handled his fallout with DJ Vlad and the overall business and ego dynamics at play.

For those unaware, Elliott Wilson and DJ Vlad were supposed to work together in partnership following an interview with Hit-Boy. But things quickly broke down over alleged business disagreements, budget issues, and more. While Joe Budden questioned Elliott Wilson and DJ Vlad's link-up, he had strong statements on how both sides mishandled this, but most of the smoke was for Wilson this time.

Joe Budden On Elliott Wilson

"It's almost time for intervention [for Elliott Wilson]," Budden posited. "I think Elliott is really sullying his name... El is legacy. But in this new-age content world, I think Elliott has done a lot and is doing a lot that ain't coming off right. And this is from me looking B.Dot in his face... Something happened there... What happened with the Jeremy Hecht pod and [DJ] Hed, that s**t you pulled with SaVon that you still ain't even answered for yet... You did some shady s**t, what's up with that?"

"Elliott's probably got one more pass out of me..." Joe Budden continued. "You been here... When the game continues to change right in front of your face, and you continue to do the same s**t and change absolutely nothing, this falls on you... The game has changed too many times in front of Elliott... With Everyday Struggle, he was supposed to be the host... Elliott said, 'Nah, that's not enough money for me to do that show.' [...] Now you out here floundering, making decisions from what seems like a state of desperation... El is my man. But I take offense that you did that slimy s**t to SaVon and ain't say a word to me."

Elliott Wilson may have responded to this situation on Twitter by quoting a 50 Cent line. "These industry n***as ain’t friends. They know how to pretend," he wrote earlier today (Saturday, October 17).

Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
