DJ Akademiks is one of many folks reacting to the Keion White situation. For those unaware, the San Francisco 49ers player was shot at a Super Bowl afterparty earlier this year. Initial reports claimed the shooting occurred after an altercation with Lil Baby and his camp, but police have denied any connection to the rapper. Akademiks took advantage of this situation to make another claim about Baby's camp, but one that has more to do with the music and entertainment industry.
As caught by Akademiks TV on Twitter, Ak was reacting to a press conference about recent arrests in the Keion White case. He posited the Atlanta MC may face a RICO in the future despite police's denials of connections, referencing their long-standing feud.
"When y'all hit him with a RICO, just make sure y'all put in the predicate acts that he sent that n***a to swing on me," DJ Akademiks remarked. "That's part of it, too. I just got to let y'all know... I'll show up... I'll be there to testify."
Then, Akademiks made his claims about Wham's team. "By the way, don't know if this is related, but it's probably a good time that I say this," he expressed. "Le Bebé, I'm going to assume you didn't know about this. They sent over the marketing request, they wanted me to promote something on December 4 for you or something of the sort. They were down to pay again. I'm like, 'They realize I'm beefing with this n***a?' They were like, 'No, it's fine. We'll pay you.' And I declined this time. Your money's no good with me."

On Instagram, Baby announced he's hosting a birthday concert in Atlanta on December 5. Maybe this is what Ak was referring to, but it's unconfirmed.
Either way, it's an ironic alleged request given Lil Baby and DJ Akademiks' long-running beef. There's no such thing as bad publicity, apparently.
The two have clashed before over Akademiks' criticisms of Baby's career and output, as well as more drama-related fare with other Atlanta rappers. We'll see if they continue to promote each other in these odd but nonetheless visible ways.
