What looked like an expensive argument at a Paris blackjack table may have been something else entirely. Footage of a visibly frustrated Offset spread across social media Monday (Oct. 5), and the rapper says viewers were watching a performance designed to promote his upcoming album.
The video initially appeared to capture Offset arguing with casino employees over people playing in what he considered his spot. According to TMZ’s original report, the former Migos rapper complained that other gamblers were being allowed into his place at the table while he was wagering as much as $10,000 and $20,000 at a time.
Offset could also be heard insisting that nobody touch his belongings and claiming he had already won $200,000 from the casino. The heated exchange quickly circulated online as another wild casino moment involving the rapper. There was apparently one problem with that interpretation. Offset says none of it was real.

The Shade Room says it spoke exclusively with Offset after the clip went viral. “Man, they messin up my rollout,” Offset reportedly said of coverage presenting the encounter as a genuine confrontation. Yet, the ambiguity of it all appears to have been the point.
Further, Offset did not offer additional details about how the stunt connects to the forthcoming project or whether more staged moments are planned. For now, he seems more concerned that the reveal arrived before he intended. So, while social media spent part of Monday debating what went wrong at the blackjack table, Offset says there was never actually a casino beef to settle. The argument was apparently an album teaser hiding in plain sight.
