LUCKI suffered a neck wound at ComplexCon that left him bleeding, and folks continue to allege Playboi Carti's Opium was involved.

LUCKI and Playboi Carti used to be collaborators, but a flare-up of beef in 2024 left fans with a lot of questions in the years since. Now, some folks continue to allege this led to LUCKI's neck wound from a ComplexCon brawl yesterday (Saturday, October 3). Carti witnessed it from his car in the parking lot. None of those rumors have been confirmed at press time, whether by Complex, law enforcement, or either artist's camps. The important thing is that the Chicago MC, one of four folks reportedly injured, is reportedly recovering well.

Martyn G Buckets on Instagram shared various alleged updates on the situation. One of them was how an alleged videographer at the event described what happened. Security allegedly told LUCKI he couldn't get in the venue, which led to an altercation with a security officer in which someone from the Opium camp stepped in.

Another claim from alleged sources close to the artist is that he is in stable condition as of this afternoon. The claim alleges the altercation occurred due to him fighting with Destroy Lonely.

It's important to note none of this information has been verified, and no official sources from law enforcement or either artist's camps have spoken out about it at press time. TMZ did report the Los Angeles Police Department will investigate this as an attempted murder, along with other details about the altercation.

As such, we will have to wait and see what other information emerges. However, there is one solid indication that LUCKI is recovering after the incident.

Is LUCKI Okay?

He took to his IG Story to repost a video of him with a fan at ComplexCon, suggesting he's doing well after the fight. As for Carti and Opium, nothing has emerged proving they were involved beyond Carti witnessing the fight. With that in mind, fans should steer clear of making any direct accusations until more official information comes out.

Playboi Carti and Opium performed at ComplexCon after the incident, and they will perform again today (Sunday, October 4). Elsewhere, DJ Akademiks scolded LUCKI for the incident, representing one of many shocked reactions to his injury. We hope he and the other individuals who suffered injuries continue to recover steadily and smoothly.
