Drake has been very busy with his own new music all throughout 2026, but that doesn't mean he isn't working hard on other artists' material. Toronto legend K-Os is going to drop his first album in over a decade soon, and just dropped the single "Guns & Roses" for it. The whole project has the financial backing of Drizzy himself, a wonderful full circle moment considering their history and shared connection to Toronto.
In a collaborative post from K-Os and Complex Canada on Instagram, his sophomore album Joyful Rebellion appears as an inspiration or comparison point for this new song. The post states the OVO mogul financed the upcoming album and that Matte Babel managed it. Babel is the chief brand officer at DreamCrew, the management and entertainment company The Boy co-founded.
This follows K-Os' previous revelation of Drake's involvement in this new era, stating that the 6ix God told him, "I’m going to give you this money to go make a record. But please make a K-Os record."
"Sometimes it takes your younger brother or someone who was witnessing you more in that stage of, ‘Oh my God, you’re amazing,’ for them to point out things you were doing that you forgot about," K-Os, who also goes by Kheaven, shared.
K-Os & Drake
Drake and K-Os have collaborated before. Back when the former was starting out as a rapper, he was a huge fan of the latter's work and sent him various tracks in hopes of a collaboration. They eventually made it happen on the "Faith" (parts one and two, an original version and a rework) tracks in the early 2010s.
This is very heartening to see, as it's always dope to see two legends showing each other love and supporting each other in their careers as hometown heroes. They wouldn't be where they are today without each other.
Elsewhere, Drake is commenting on his generous spirit, making it clear his good deeds for others are less about compensation and more about fulfillment. He recently responded to a new Victoria Monét interview in which the interviewer called him a "professional trick," expanding on his view of the term and its implications.
