Drake has been the most talked-about rapper in 2026, which should come as no surprise given his years of prominence. But this time around, there's been so much music to unpack and new material to talk about. After officially dropping HABIBTI (FOMO), fans can now enjoy the new tracks on streaming services after their premiere in his short film, and they've reacted about as wildly as you'd expect.
A lot of the discussion to this deluxe expansion centers around Drizzy's "Choosin' Texas" interpolation on the track "Solar Eclipse" featuring Don Toliver. The Cactus Jack star also appears on the new song "Cold Shoulder" alongside Yebba. But back to the Ella Langley reimagining, DJ Akademiks claimed the Toronto superstar did not claim any publishing for the release. Beyond that, though, fans were just happy to have the new material on streaming services.
It also follows one of these new tracks being removed from YouTube, as "Quebec" was originally part of the individual music video releases for "FOMO." Now, though, die-hards can rest easy knowing the official release came around.
Drake's HABIBTI (FOMO)
Still, anyone who hasn't liked the 6ix God's material this year (or at large) seems unconvinced by these new tracks. On the other hand, some folks loved ICEMAN so much that they want to hear bars and nothing more. It's worth noting that some more rap-centric cuts from the "FOMO" short film haven't gotten an official release yet. Maybe that will be for another deluxe edition or a Scary Hours EP, as some folks have predicted.
Drake initially announced these HABIBTI (FOMO) drops via a livestream, so fans were ready to dive in quick. While it's nice to hear the new material, it hasn't changed how most folks see the trilogy and this run, for better or for worse.
Fan Reactions
Meanwhile, Drake might play Coachella next year, if recent rumors are actually true. Although many fans think this is just reaching, he did confirm he's going on a world tour in 2027. Maybe that festival will be one of the first stops. Either way, there's a lot more Drizzy to look forward to in the future, and a lot more to criticize if he's not your cup of tea.
