The Chicago rapper thanks fans for their support and mentions acting or podcasting as possible next steps.

G Herbo says he’s ready to call it quits on rap. During an Instagram Live, the Chicago rapper told fans he wants to step away from music, pointing to the stress of being in the industry. Herbo described made it clear that his frustration extends to the people around the business.

“Full of weirdos and snitches and I don’t wanna be a part of it no more,” he said. “So I love y’all. And everyone who been part of this journey, I love y’all, man.”

He didn’t name anyone in those remarks or explain whether a particular situation prompted the announcement. Instead, he used the moment to thank the fans who have supported him and discuss what he might do next.

“You’ll still see me around,” Herbo continued. “Maybe I’ll go into acting. Or start a podcast or something. I love y’all. I’m out.”

Neither idea came with a release date or a formal announcement. Still, his comments suggest he’s interested in staying in entertainment even if recording music is no longer his main focus. Fans could potentially see him in a different setting, with Herbo mentioning both being on screen and getting behind a microphone for conversations.

G Herbo Calls It Quits

For listeners, the biggest question is whether he means a permanent retirement or needs some time away.

"He’s a Libra they’re indecisive, he’ll be back by next week," one person commented.

"I mean the music industry has been mid lately," another person agreed.

That leaves his next move unclear. His goodbye sounds direct, but there's plenty of room for him to reconsider. For now, Herbo is telling fans that the demands of rap have worn on him, and he’s ready to put his energy into something else.
