Going into the final quarter of 2026, there have been rumblings that hip-hop albums will be few and far between. Labels are cutting budgets to be financially compliant, while some artists are simply looking to be part of next year's Grammys cycle.
On Friday, we will have our first releases of October, and there are some big artists looking to drop. However, it appears as though Drake is kicking things off a day earlier on October 1 with songs from FOMO.
Subsequently, Quavo is dropping QRÖMELIFE with French Montana, and Max B is finally dropping Night To Remember. Ovrkast is dropping STRIKING on the heels of his Outkast controversy. John Legend and Pharrell are dropping Muse on October 23. The same day that Anderson .Paak and Cordae are releasing Heavy Is The Crown.
