A verdict in Lil Durk's murder-for-hire trial is closer than ever as the jury has officially begun deliberations in Los Angeles. After a two-week trial, the jury has been summoned to decide whether or not the rapper is guilty of orchestrating an alleged murder-for-hire plot against Quando Rondo. A plot that led to the death of Lul Pab.
This trial has received tons of public interest, and it is easy to see why. Durk is one of the biggest rappers in the world, and his 2024 arrest sent shockwaves throughout the industry. Since that time, fans and peers have advocated for the "Free Durk" movement. It's a phrase that was chanted outside of the courthouse during the trial.
Today, things are actually much calmer outside the courthouse. This is because fans are mostly just playing the waiting game until the jury announces that a verdict is in.
According to Michael Blackshire, the courthouse is drawing a small crowd right now. In fact, that crowd is mostly comprised of streamers who want to cover the trial.
Lil Durk Fans Pull Up To The Courthouse
One has to imagine that the coverage of the trial will become chaotic once a verdict is reached. After all, Durk is an extremely popular artist with millions of fans. Regardless of what the verdict is, people are going to have something to say about it.
If convicted on all five charges, Durk faces life in prison. Subsequently, he will have another trial for racketeering charges that were added during a superseding indictment. The racketeering charges are centered around whether or not OTF was a gang.
