The FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe Dunk Low Protro drops soon in black patent leather and purple, the second shoe in this year's collab.

The FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe Dunk Low Protro is set to release on September 4th for $135. It's the second silhouette in this year's Kobe and Barca collaboration.

Black patent leather covers most of the upper, giving the shoe a sleek, glossy finish. Purple hits the Swoosh, the outsole, and detailing around the heel, matching the club's away colors. Matte black leather panels break up the shine, keeping the design from feeling too flashy.

Gold branding rounds things out on the heel. Kobe's signature sits stitched in gold thread, while the FC Barcelona crest appears in gold on the tongue. That same tone connects the shoe back to its companion release in the collection.

The Dunk silhouette itself gives this release a different feel than past Kobe and Barca pairs. It's a lower profile, more casual build compared to something like the Kobe 4 Protro, making it an easier everyday option for fans who want the colorway without a basketball focused shoe.

FC Barcelona and Nike are pairing this release with a Kobe 3 Low Protro in the same purple and gold theme, giving the 2026 collection two very different builds tied to one shared look.

Nike and FC Barcelona first connected the Kobe line back in 2025. That collection included the Kobe 4 Protro, an Air Force 1 Protro, a post-match slide, and matching apparel across the board.

The partnership comes from Kobe's true connection to the club, not just a licensing deal. He was a longtime supporter, often speaking about how much he respected Barca's style of play.

For 2026, that relationship expands into the Dunk Low Protro, a silhouette that hasn't carried Kobe branding before. Pairing it with the purple and gold theme keeps it consistent with everything else in the collection.

With multiple releases now planned across this partnership, Nike keeps finding new ways to fold Kobe's legacy into Barça's identity. It's shaping up as one of the more layered team collaborations still running in sneakers today.
