Eminem is giving fans a real shot at owning a piece of his personal sneaker collection. He put more than 100 autographed pairs up for auction this week, including two of the ultra-rare Air Jordan 3 "Slim Shady" player exclusives.
Only 45 pairs of that Air Jordan 3 colorway were ever made. They were created specifically for Eminem's Super Bowl LVI halftime performance back in 2022. This marks the first time any of these pairs have gone up for sale.
The full collection stretches well beyond just the Air Jordan 3s too. Over 100 pairs from Eminem's personal rotation are included in the auction, each one signed and tied directly to his own collection rather than a random batch of memorabilia.
Bidding is open now through Julien's Auctions and closes August 25th at 10 AM. As of now, the current bid on the Air Jordan 3s has already climbed to $25,000. There's still plenty of time left before the auction wraps.
Further, every dollar raised is going toward the Marshall Mathers Foundation. It supports disadvantaged and at-risk youth throughout Detroit and the surrounding area. Eminem confirmed the proceeds directly himself, making this auction as much about giving back as it is about the shoes.
Signed Eminem Sneakers Auction
This isn't Eminem's first run at auctioning off personal sneaker pieces for charity. Back in February, he donated a signed pair of Air Jordan 4s to Julien's Auctions. Also that pair ended up selling for $5,120 to an undisclosed bidder.
Given how much rarer the "Slim Shady" Air Jordan 3s are, expect this auction to blow past that number by the time bidding closes. A shoe tied directly to a Super Bowl halftime performance, with only 45 pairs ever made, is a different tier of rare.
Auctions like this give collectors a real shot at something that was never meant to hit the open market in the first place. Overall this is about as close as most people will ever get to owning a piece of that halftime show.
